OUR MISSION

Empowering Caregivers

OT-CARES was developed to provide a comprehensive, self-paced wellness resource for unpaid adult family caregivers of those living with Alzheimer's and related dementias. Our program focuses on emotional regulation, stress management, and self-care through a four-module pathway designed to support the caregiver's journey toward resilience and well-being.

What OT-CARES is, and is not

  • OT-CARES is a wellness-focused digital resource designed to support the emotional and physical well-being of unpaid adult family caregivers of those living with ADRD.
  • OT-CARES is not a replacement for medical treatment, professional mental health services, or clinical therapy.
  • OT-CARES is not a peer support group, coaching service, or a substitute for crisis intervention.
  • The program is designed for self-paced, independent use and does not include live workshops or group discussions.

Purpose of the study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the OT-CARES Digital Wellness Journal, an online wellness program designed for unpaid family caregivers of individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias (ADRD).

This occupational therapy-informed program includes four self-paced modules focusing on reflection, emotional regulation, stress management, and self-care. Your participation will help us understand how this program may support caregivers' emotional well-being and reduce stress.
